Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Axe Development LLC (“Axe Development,” “we,” “us”), based in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, handles personal information collected through trustaxe.com (the “site”). AXE is our ERP and warehouse operations software for electronics recycling and ITAD. This policy covers the site and our AXE Notifications text message program (see the Text Messaging Terms). Other personal information that customers process inside the AXE software is governed by their separate customer agreements.
Information we collect
Information you give us. If you request a demo, you provide your full name, work email address and company name. You may also provide a phone number and a free-text message. We do not require anything else.
Text messages. If you opt in to text messages, we collect your mobile phone number, your consent (including when and how you gave it), and records of the messages we send and the replies you send, such as STOP or HELP.
Communications. If you email or call us, we keep the content of that communication and the contact details you used.
Technical data. When you visit the site, our systems and service providers may receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and the pages you visit and when.
The site has no user accounts, purchases or payments, so we do not collect account credentials or payment card information through it.
How we use information
- Respond to your demo request and other inquiries.
- Communicate with you about AXE, including scheduling and following up on a demo.
- Send the text messages you opted in to, and act on opt-out and help requests.
- Operate, secure, maintain and improve the site, and detect and prevent abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.
If you are located outside the United States, we process your information where needed to take steps you request (such as a demo), for our legitimate interests in running and securing our business, to comply with the law, or with your consent where the law requires it.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers that process information on our behalf, such as those that help us host the site, deliver email, or manage our business communications. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Legal and safety. When we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process or a government request, or is needed to protect rights, safety or security.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, in which case the information may transfer to the successor.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Mobile information and text messaging
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that support our services, such as our text message delivery provider and customer service, only so they can provide those services. All other categories of sharing described above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to operate the site, and analytics cookies that help us understand how the site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are viewed and whether a demo request was sent. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you visit, the website that referred you, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We have turned off Google’s advertising features for this site, so this information is not used for advertising. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to follow up on your request, meet legal obligations and resolve disputes. After that, we delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Marketing emails. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in a message or by writing to info@trustaxe.com. We may still send you non-promotional messages about a request you made.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as those in California, including the rights to know, delete and correct personal information and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as described above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
